Alameda Periodontics

We work closely as a team with your referring dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required to become a new patient. We welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice. If you are in need of a general or restorative dentist, we can provide you with the names of some of the excellent dentists we work with.

We communicate with you and your dentist, ensuring that your clinical, periodontal, and administrative needs are met as efficiently and smoothly as possible.

Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. We are here to listen to you and to help provide solutions leading to your better health. Periodontal treatment is a partnership between your periodontist, your dentist, any other treatment providers, and you. If you are anxious about receiving care, we have a variety of sedation options available to make your treatment as easy as possible.

Dr. Oh received her D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific, and continued on to her Master’s and specialty training in Periodontics at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Oh hails from the east coast, and speaks Korean and French. She has served as president of the Alameda County Dental Society and president of the Alameda City Dental Group. Dr. Oh has instructed clinical periodontics at UCSF, UOP, and VCU. In addition, Dr. Oh is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Society of Periodontists, and American Academy of Periodontology, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

In her spare time, Dr. Oh enjoys vegetable gardening and making furniture.

Our practice provides a variety of non-surgical and surgical services for the treatment of periodontal issues. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are very conservative in our treatment recommendations, and limit surgery to circumstances where it is absolutely necessary.

Our goal is to help our patients. We understand that some treatment, particularly in advanced cases, can be a significant expense. If your treatment involves multiple procedures, they can usually be spaced out over time to accommodate your schedule and personal finances.

We are preferred providers with Delta Dental PPO Premier. If you’re a member of another PPO (for instance, Aetna, BlueCross, Cigna, Delta Dental, Guardian, Metlife), it’s likely that your insurance will still cover a good portion of your treatment. We will submit all necessary paperwork on your behalf.

If your insurance plan is an HMO or DPO, it will exclusively cover services by providers under that plan. Call the number on your insurance card for providers. We do not accept Denti-Cal or Medi-Cal. If you are seeking a Denti-Cal provider, please click here.
